Visual Pun

 ButterFinger

 Snapshot

 Firetruck

Sunglasses

In this project, we had to make visual puns to create a well known phrase. For example, a stick of butter, replacing a finger gives you "ButterFinger". On each of these four visual puns, we had to place an effect. On the first, I adjusted the Threshold to give the background hand-drawn look. On the second, I used Posterize to make the piece look like it belongs on an advertisement. On the third, I used an effect to change the opacity of the selected layer. This made the fire look as if it had really been painted on the truck. Finally, I desaturated a picture of the sun, and used a gradient map to fill it in with my own colors.

Kaleidoscope

In this project, we created a kaleidoscope-like image by duplicating one part of a picture and reflecting it across the screen. I took a picture  of spirit week decorations with many colors, in order to create an exciting image.

Four Square

My silhouette

This is yet another project which made use of wordle, and I think the words in the background illustrate the photo perfectly. The photo is very simple, so I chose to only type a few simple words.

Wordle

The website "Wordle " allows you to type in a group of words, hit create, and gives you a fascintaing combination of word formations, colors, and fonts. This tool can be very useful in photoshop, and I have already used in in some previous projects. I think I will continue to do so in the future. Not to mention, its very entertaining. I entered a book report I finished recently for my english class, and I think the photo of words that popped up represents the book perfectly.

Lunch Break

In this project, we had to find a picture of a person or people, and delete them, leaving only a silhouette. Behind this silhouette, we placed a group of words describing that picture. I chose a picture of men eating their lunch on a beam, during the construction of a skyscraper. This picture has always inspired me, so I chose to try to put it into words. The effect was very interesting, though I don't think I did it justice.

15 Green Things

Our project was to create a single scene using 15 different pictures of green objects. I did my best to put most of these objects together in a way that makes it difficult to tell them apart. We were allowed to change the color of some of the objects in the scene, and I made the trees in the background purple. Before, they just faded into the background, so I chose to make them stand out.
